Spot Cleaning Daily Throughout the Year -

	Evaluate carpets.
	Vacuum thoroughly
	Use GREENER SOLUTIONS Spot & Stain Remover to eliminate spots and stains in carpets.
	Pre-spray area and let dwell for 10 minutes. (ADJUST TO SPRAY NOT STREAM)
	Agitate with a bone scraper and blot dry with a BLEACH-FREE, white, 100% cotton towel.

Quick Weekly Maintenance for Traffic Lanes and Wicking

	Vacuum thoroughly.
	Pre-spray traffic lanes, and wicking areas: Mix 3 to 4 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS
	Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 1 gallon HOT water.
	Let dwell 10 minutes.
	Bonnet clean using 100% cotton bonnets. (BLEACH-FREE)

Pre-Spray/Extraction: During winter and spring break, if time permits, first pre-spray carpet, mixing 3 to 4 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 1 gallon HOT water.

Let dwell 10 minutes.

Mix 2 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 5 gallons of HOT water and flush the carpet (e.g. extract, then bonnet almost dry). Drying the tips of the carpet will stop the carpet from wicking and/or browning.

Extraction Only: Mix 2 to 3 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 1 gallon of HOT water. Activate air movers for quick dry.

Summer Time Carpet Maintenance

	Evaluate carpets.
	Vacuum thoroughly.

Pre-Spray/Extraction: Mix 3 to 4 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 1 gallon HOT water then apply pre-spray to carpet. Let dwell for 10 minutes.

Extraction Only: Mix 2 to 3 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 1 gallon HOT water. Bonnet almost dry using 100% cotton bonnets (BLEACH-FREE), rotating bonnet pad every 100 feet. Drying the tips of the carpet will stop the carpet from wicking and/or browning. Activate air movers for quick dry.

CAUTION: Do not allow carpet to stay wet for over 4 hours. This will breed mold, mildew fungus, bacteria, odors etc., and cause IAQ issues.

Soap Free Solutions to Carpet Problems

Caution: Always use rubber gloves when cleaning the unknown!

Blood, Body Fluids: Wear rubber gloves. Using proper blood borne pathogen procedures apply GREENER SOLUTIONS Spot & Stain Remover let dwell 10 minutes, agitate then extract or blot dry using a bleach-free, white, 100% cotton towel.

Browning Spots: Apply GREENER SOLUTIONS Spot & Stain Remover over browning area, let dwell 10 minutes, agitate then blot dry using a bleach-free, white, 100% cotton towel.

Browning Traffic Lane: Mix 3 to 4 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 1 gallon HOT water in spray tank, wet browning area, bonnet carpet almost dry using 100% cotton bonnet.

Food: Scrape excess food from carpet with dull object (such as a spoon). Spray GREENER SOLUTIONS Spot & Stain Remover on area, let dwell for 10 minutes, agitate then blot dry using a bleach-free, white, 100% cotton towel.

General Spots (Coffee, Tea, Juice, Grease, Oil, etc.): Apply GREENER SOLUTIONS Spot & Stain Remover on area, agitate then blot dry with a bleach-free, white, 100% cotton towel.

Gum, Tape Residue, Ink, and Paint: Mix 3 to 4 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 1 gallon HOT water in spray tank. Spray over gum, let dwell 10 minutes, agitate with bone scraper and remove gum, then bonnet using 100% cotton bonnet.

Grease & Oil: Spray GREENER SOLUTIONS Spot & Stain Remover on area, let dwell 10 minutes, agitate then blot dry using a bleach-free, white, 100% cotton towel.

Road Tar: Mix 3 to 4 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 1 gallon of 180° HOT water in spray tank. Spray over area, let dwell 10-15 minutes, agitate then bonnet using 100% cotton bonnet.

Water Stains: Mix 3 to 4 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 1 gallon HOT water in spray tank. Spray over area, let dwell 10-15 minutes, agitate then bonnet using 100% cotton bonnet.

Floods: Extract as much as possible, then bonnet using 100% cotton bonnet to dry fibers. If browning occurs, follow directions for browning traffic lane problems.

Smoke Damage: Mix 3 to 4 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 1 gallon HOT water. Extract area then bonnet using 100% cotton bonnet.

Tile & Grout: Mix 4 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 1 gallon HOT water in spray tank. Spray over tile and grout area. Keeping tile and grout wet with GREENER SOLUTIONS, let dwell for 15 minutes. Using a rotary scrubber and a good stiff brush, scrub down area. (Repeat as necessary)

Venetian Blind Cleaning Machines: Mix 64 oz. of GREENER SOLUTIONS Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner to 20 gallons of water.

Note: Some of you will not have access to hot water. You may use a coffee pot to heat water.
