Treatment Removal (ASR) This advanced one-day course is designed for professional cleaning contractors, in-house maintenance personnel, building service contractors, and carpet mill technical service and claims representatives. Advanced stain treatment procedures are emphasized, including the use of bleaches, heat transfer, and steam transfer. Recommended prerequisites for this course are Complete Carpet Care (CCT). Course content includes: The advanced laws of spotting Definitions, terminology Your value as a cleaner/spot remover The role of spotting in your customer service menu Characteristics of spots/stains Characteristics of carpet that affect spot removal/stain treatment Spotting equipment Chemicals of spot removal/stain treatment Four steps of spot removal Specialized stain treatment procedures Keys for success Special problems Role of fabric protectors Warranty service and claims handling. Color restoration for sun fading, color enhancement for faded traffic areas, side-match correction, and wear related conditions such as shading, pooling and water marking are also addressed. Students will perform the color repair themselves with dyes on 10 pre-bleached carpet samples. This course covers marketing, how to match colors, dyes, and fibers, neutralizing, color therapy and chemicals used as well as providing hands on application for students. A session on color rejuvenation and restoration is also covered as a bonus for the students during this class session. The IICRC color repair technician certification is now a requirement for IICRC Master Cleaner status. CRT 603-604 Commercial Carpet (CCMT) Maintenance Specialist This two-day course is designed for building service contractors, in-house maintenance personnel, and professional cleaning contractors who specialize in commercial carpet cleaning. Successful attendees of this course will receive a certificate of completion (ORC). ------------------------------------------------------------------ Stone, Masonry, and Ceramic Tile Cleaning Technician (SMT) The this two day class delves into the basics of maintenance of these hard surfaces. We start with the identification of all the materials, including a large section on the one common area of all of these installations... GROUT. We have a separate section for each of the natural stone types, man made materials from Saltillo to brick. We talk about all types of grout, from cementitious, epoxy resin and furan types. The class spends ample time discussing the attributes of a proper installation of tile. We also talk about what else is going on under the tile, that we may see as cleaning professionals. Although not a course about installation, you will know what a good installation should look like. After we know all the characteristics of our new best friend, tile, we can then go into great detail on the proper maintenance techniques and products for no hassle customer service. We can teach you the talk as well as the walk. Each tile product has special cleaning circumstances that we will separate and discuss.
